Glenda Studio's Heartfelt Response to Typhoon Yagi's Devastation

On September 8 and 9, Typhoon Yagi made landfall in Northern Vietnam, unleashing its fury with devastating consequences. The storm brought widespread flooding, destruction, and loss of life. Hundreds of people tragically lost their lives, and many more were left homeless. Entire communities were submerged, and essential supplies became scarce. As the news of this disaster spread, the urgency to help those affected grew stronger, especially for those of us at Glenda Studio.

The staff, friends, and family of Glenda Studio quickly mobilized, determined to make a difference. What started as a simple idea — to gather supplies and send them to a local aid post — soon turned into something far greater than we had imagined. Our initial goal was to send 1 tonne of aid to support those struggling in the aftermath of the typhoon, but what transpired over the course of 24 hours exceeded our expectations in every possible way.

A Unified Effort to Help

The response from our team was nothing short of inspiring. With only a short amount of time to gather resources, the Glenda Studio community came together, donating money, food, water, milk, clothes, blankets, and more. The warehouse transformed into a hive of activity, with people from all walks of life pitching in. Our goal was to supply essential goods that could be forwarded up north, where they were desperately needed.

In just a day, we gathered over 100 crates of both water and milk, along with a truckload of food, blankets, clothes, and other crucial supplies. In total, we managed to send over 4 tonnes of supplies to the affected regions — an incredible achievement that went far beyond our original target.

The Power of Community

What stood out the most throughout this initiative was the power of community. From those who generously donated, to the volunteers who spent hours sorting, organizing, and loading supplies, to the drivers who transported the goods — everyone played a vital role in making this effort a success. It wasn’t just about the material donations, but the sense of solidarity and compassion that united us all in this mission to help others.

Every crate of water, every blanket, every box of food represented not just basic necessities but hope for those in desperate need. Knowing that our efforts would bring some relief to those who had lost so much gave us all a profound sense of purpose.

Moving Forward Together

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed, in any way, to this cause. Your kindness and generosity made a real difference in the lives of those affected by Typhoon Yagi. Whether you donated, sorted, transported, or simply offered words of support — you were part of something special.

As Glenda Studio continues to grow, so does our commitment to giving back. While this relief effort came together in a short time, the impact it had will last far longer. It is a reminder that when people unite for a common cause, there is no limit to what can be achieved.
