  • The M1 version- shown here- was the Anti Aircraft version, the M2 (anti tank), and M3 (tank mounted) were also introduced.

  • This gun used extensively through WWII and throughout the 50s

  • It was phased out as an AA gun in the 50s with the introduction of surface to air missiles.
